These instructions will be suitable for most users. The following instructions show how to install Mission Planner on Windows. However, it is possible to use it under Linux (with some occasional issues) and there is a Beta version for Android OS. Remove any road grime, dirt, grease, etc. There are 2 holes that need to be drilled into the plastic wheel liner, and the inner most one is a PITA to do even with the wheel turned all the way.Ĥ. I didn't want to go through the hassle of raising the car on jack stands and removing the wheel, but it makes life much easier if you do. For front flaps, remove the wheel for ease of installation. I've attached 2 pictures on how the C clip and screw should look once installed: (a) on the flap part, and (b) on the car with a view from the bottom upwards.ģ. For the rear flaps, the little plastic insert was a bit tricky to orient correctly. It's completely covered up, but annoying as it was 100% avoidable if I used a plastic tool instead.Ģ. I marred up the area around a non-reusable panel clip by using a metal trim removal tool. Use PLASTIC panel trim removal tools! Although it's in the wheel well and installed flaps will likely cover up any marred plastic, it just gives peace of mind that you didn't damage your car unnecessarily. Prior DIY instructions are available on the site so I won't write my own step-by-step, but I'll add a few tips from my experience:ġ. Flaps installed all around! Pics and BMW installation instructions for the exact OEM kit are attached (the instructions from Bluezed's post was for a different part # I believe as the hardware was not exactly the same as the one I received).
